21. Melbourne

We arrived at Tamara’s house and the kids had a ball catching up and playing. They were down the cricket nets, riding skateboard and scooters, playing in the yard and rummaging through all the trash people had out on the streets for council clean up. They found a large slow cooker (that works), a scooter, golf clubs, portable dvd player and a boogie board for Rod. They had a ball.

Our plans of staying only one night changed when we left and got 30km away and blew the hose on the radiator. So once we were towed back to Melbourne and Tamara kindly came and picked us up, we stayed an extra couple of nights.

While Rod played mechanic, desperately wanting to get oil on himself, I took the boys into the city. We found the lolly shop, went to Queen Vic Markets, caught trams here and there, got some lunch, looked at some shops and caught the train back home. We were very tired but had a nice day.

We left Melbourne, having to change our plans due to flooding in Albury Wodonga and chose to head to Echuca! Got 15km down the road and stopped at Yarra Glen park – amazing park. Kids had a ball, Rod and I even had a go at some things.
