Stay: Adventure Whitsunday Big 4. Fantastic place to stay with kids which we visit frequently. Half of our stay included the "Kids Driving you Nuts" package, which entitled the kids to free accommodation, free kids club, free bike hire, free golf ball, free tennis ball, free eating out at selected places and free travel to the reef. This is one of our favourite spots! So on average we paid $37.50/night.
While we stayed here we took the boat out for the first test run. Taking the boat down and setting up the folding trailer. All went well except 5 mins into our boat trip I realised we didn't have the life jackets, ooops.
We caught lots of fish however were unable to identify them all so threw them back. Took photos for future identification - so we can keep future ones. Although we were told some of them were correct size and great eating we really had no freezer space to put them.
True to Airlie form it rained, and rained, and rained. The kids were not bothered. They played in the rain on their ripsticks and met a few kids who they hung out with. At times we didn't see them for hours. They swam, played golf, tennis, jumped on the pillow, swung on the swing and generally got on well (which was nice).
